Grace and peace to you in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each year, the Catholic Sharing Appeal invites us to renew our commitment to the mission of the Church. This year, that invitation comes with renewed urgency and hope: this is the Hour for Love - a moment that gently invites us to begin again.
Love is not merely a feeling; it is a decision. It is the choice to say “yes” to God and to one another, even when seasons of life change. The Church remains grateful for the support you have offered in the past, support that helped sustain ministries and touch lives throughout the Diocese of Biloxi.
Currently, only 25% of diocesan families participate in the Catholic Sharing Appeal. Yet through the generosity of that faithful minority, the Church continues to serve - forming priests, nurturing young people, strengthening families, and caring for those most in need. Imagine what could be possible if every household participated.
The Catholic Sharing Appeal is not simply about funding programs; it is about discipleship and belonging. Participation itself is an act of love and unity. When we participate together, we proclaim our faith in Christ, our belief in the Church’s mission, and our willingness to play a part in that mission.
As we begin the 2026 Catholic Sharing Appeal, I warmly invite you to consider renewing your participation. Every gift, regardless of size, is a sign of love at work and a reminder that we journey together as one Body in Christ.
Brothers and sisters, this is our hour. I hope you will prayerfully consider rejoining us in this shared mission of love and helping to build a legacy of faith for generations to come.
With sincere gratitude and every blessing,

† Most Reverend Louis F. Kihneman III
Bishop of Biloxi
